Several years later, Kaew traveled to southern Thailand, to the city of Hat Yai in Songkhla province, to work as a sex worker. After that she tried Bangkok. "I went back and forth several times trying to make money, leaving my children with my mother."
Remember, the girls come from a part of the country
where the average monthly wage is only about 3-4000 baht.
500 baht is a lot of money in rural Thailand so,
why not just pay them 500 baht?

but too many people giving too much ruined those fine days...
